Our team has built a custom core framework that leverages the Eloquent ORM from Laravel 4. Laravel developers will feel pretty cozy. We use Composer, where modules are individual Composer packages and LemonStand itself can be installed via Composer.
It will be nice to see an ecommerce platform utilizing Laravel and I know this will make a lot of developers happy. What I find interesting, is they are only pulling in Eloquent.
