How to Laravel series: Let’s talk Gulp

Published

In my last article I explained two ways of implementing Grunt to your Laravel application. Now we are taking a look at the same setup, but we are using Gulp instead of Grunt. Gulp what? Don’t worry, I will show you what Gulp is, how it works and why you probably should consider switching.

This is a nice tutorial with the basics of getting setup using Gulp.

Having used both Gulp and Grunt I do like Gulp better so far. My biggest issue is when NPM fails and I have no idea how to debug it. I’ve ran into this a few times and that npm-log is gruesome. I hope that is something that improves in the future.
