Keep Your Place: Enhancing User Experience with Fragment Method

Published

Have you ever clicked on a pagination link and lost your place on the page? Frustrating, right? Enter Lateral's Fragment method, your lifesaver for keeping users exactly where they need to be.

Imagine a small dashboard filled with product ads, stock values, and more. Typically, with 50 results, only the first eight are visible at once. Clicking to the next page usually causes an annoying jump from the bottom back to the top. But now, instead of just using standard pagination, we're implementing a page fragment targeted at the product section.

By enabling the product section in our dashboard's controller and targeting it with a page-made fragment, we've anchored the page to a specific ID. Reload the page, scroll back down, and click through to the next page—no jump, pure focus.

Perfect for comment sections, product reviews, or any dense content within larger pages, this method keeps users fixated on their current content without tedious scrolling. Improving user experience one page at a time—with Lateral’s Fragment method, lose the jump and keep your focus!
