July 2nd was the midpoint of 2025, and I thought it would be nice to recap some of the most memorable moments so far at Laravel News. The following are a mix of some of our most popular posts, community milestones, products, and events.
I'm sure I'll miss some things, so please sound off and let us know your favorite event, product, or feature that has already shipped in 2025.
Laravel 12 and Starter Kits
Laravel 12 was released on February 24, 2025, along with Laravel's New Starter Kits. Along with first-party starter kits, the Laravel installer now supports Custom Starter Kits. Laravel 12 was easy to upgrade for apps running Laravel 11, and leverages Inertia 2.0 for the Vue and React starter kits.
Laravel Cloud
Laravel Cloud was launched this year in February along with the Laravel 12 release. Cloud is a fully managed infrastructure platform and the fastest way to deploy and scale Laravel applications.

Native PHP Mobile v1
Native PHP for Mobile launched v1 this year on May 2nd, brining your Laravel app to iOS and Android devices:

Laravel Nightwatch Released

Tailwind CSS v4
Tailwind CSS v4 was released on January 22, 2025, with a new high-performance engine, CSS-first configuration, simplified installation, and more:

July 29-30, 2025: Laracon US 2025 is a significant conference for Laravel, featuring new open-source releases, Laravel Cloud updates, and significant updates to Laravel Forge, expected to be announced at the event. Livewire 4 is also mentioned to be released during Laracon US 2025.
August 21-22, 2025: Laravel Live Denmark 2025 - Join 300 Laravel and PHP enthusiasts from around the world for two days of learning in Copenhagen, Denmark.
