Laravel is 10 years old! image

Today is officially the tenth birthday of the first beta release of Laravel, and we've come a long way in those ten years. Here is a screenshot of Taylor's original announcement.

I'd love to write about the entire history but that would be like writing a 1,000 page book at this point. From the beginning to today Laravel never settles and continues to innovate.

It's a little hard to believe that a framework like Laravel could come in and completely change the lives of so many people around the world.

In the past ten years, the framework has grown to be the most popular PHP framework, an entire worldwide ecosystem with conferences, meetups, jobs, and, of course, its own enterprise with all these products.

It truly has made its mark on the tech world and I want to personally thank everyone that's contributed to the framework, and Taylor personally for all the work he's put into over the past 10 years.

Here's to the next ten!
