Aaron Francis has a new video out named "PHP is the future" that goes through Laravel and covers a lot of the highlights of the framework.
I've been using Laravel since, well, forever, and it's easy to forget what you get free just by using the framework. Aaron did a fantastic job going through some of the big features, explaining what they do, and comparing them to what one might find in the JS ecosystem.
