Larvel™ A new enterprise framework
Published on by Eric L. Barnes
PHP is one of the most widely used web development languages, but it has long been considered the worst to work with. To help ease the pain of working in such a horrific language, frameworks are considered the only sane way to write PHP.
Over the years, frameworks have came and gone and currently, the three leaders are Laravel, Symfony, and Zend. This is all going to change if Chris Fidao has his way.
Larvel™ takes a fresh spin on building apps by using Emoji characters. The benefits are huge in the enterprise space. It’s bringing fun to cubicles everywhere. Chris says:
I personally would only use Larvel™ on mission-critical Enterprise applications
By leaving out the common applications and focusing totally on Enterprise it opens up a lot of consulting work and 24/7 on-call support which he plans to capitalize on as soon as the first round of VC funding closes.
Already iemoji.com is reporting a spike in usage and this seems to be a direct correlation to the framework release. The framework is not only helping enterprise developers but creating a space for external tools to profit.
The sky is the limit for Larvel™ and Chris just may go down in history as the Steve Jobs of PHP.
