Commune: A Private Community for Founders and Builders

Commune: A Private Community for Founders and Builders image

Laravel developers are builders by nature.

From SaaS products and internal tools to open-source packages, indie projects, and client work, the Laravel community has long had a strong culture of building great software, sharing knowledge, and supporting one another.

Commune is built for that same spirit.

It is a private community where founders, makers, and builders can share progress, get feedback, find potential collaborators, and launch projects when they are ready.

Whether you are working on a SaaS, an open-source package, a side project, or a new product idea, it is designed to give builders a more supportive place to keep moving forward.

Share What You’re Building

On Commune, posts are structured around how builders actually work.

Members can publish updates as Discussions, Ideas, Milestones, or Support requests. Posts can also be connected directly to projects, groups, and topics, making it easier for other members to discover your work and follow your progress over time.

Whether you are sharing a technical milestone, asking for feedback, or looking for help, other members can quickly understand what kind of update you are sharing.

Rewarding Meaningful Contribution

Commune is built to reward genuine participation.

Every post is reviewed through a spam check and scoring system to help keep the community focused and useful. Members earn Gold and XP based on the quality of their contributions, encouraging thoughtful updates, helpful replies, and consistent support for other builders.

The goal is simple: reward people who contribute value, not those who create the most noise.

Find Your Crew

Building is easier when you have people to trade ideas with, test early versions, and keep you moving.

Commune helps builders connect in multiple ways: through public and private groups, real-time chat, direct messages, group events, and swipe-based builder matching.

Groups give builders a structured place to gather around a shared community, topic, or team. Group members can have different roles, and conversations can be organized into channels, making it easier to ask questions, share updates, and get feedback in real time from other group members who are online.

Separately from groups, swipe-based matching helps members discover builders with similar interests. Swipe right on a builder whose profile catches your interest, and if they swipe right too, you match.

Launch When You’re Ready

When your project is ready, our launchpad gives you a place to ship and showcase it with the community.

Instead of relying only on a simple upvote count, members can support launches using Gold they have earned by being active on Commune. That gives active contributors a meaningful way to back projects they believe in.

The launchpad is designed to reward consistent contribution and community support, not just the size of a builder’s existing audience.

Try Commune

Commune is currently in private access as the community grows with founders, makers, and developers who want a more supportive place to work on their projects.
