Today at Laracon, Taylor announced Laravel 6 will be coming out in August and it will be version 6.0. With this release the framework will include new branding and a new website.
Laravel has always used the major version for paradigm changes to the core, but with v6 it’s moving to semver and that is the reason for the main version bump.
Another new product announced today, is Laravel Vapor which is a serverless deployment platform for Laravel, powered by AWS. On-demand auto-scaling with zero server maintenance. Matt Stauffer has a complete write up with all the information on Vapor.
We will have more information after the conference but wanted to share all the new things as soon as we could.
