JetBrains PHPverse 2026 is returning on June 9th, bringing together PHP developers worldwide for a free online event. The conference runs from 11:00 to 17:50 UTC and features talks from prominent voices across the PHP ecosystem.

Last year, PHPverse reached over 55,000 developers with 2,500 watching at the live peak. This year's lineup continues the tradition of featuring leading PHP community members.

Speakers and Schedule

The program opens with hosts Nuno Maduro (Staff Software Engineer, Laravel) and Brent Roose (Developer Advocate, JetBrains) welcoming attendees and setting the stage for the day.

Elizabeth Barron, Executive Director of The PHP Foundation, will present the PHP Foundation Keynote, exploring where the ecosystem is growing and why this is an exciting moment for PHP developers.

Ashley Hindle, Founder and CEO of Fuel, will demonstrate his AI setup that writes PHP he "doesn't have to fight" – code that matches his style, follows conventions, writes tests, and keeps docs up to date.

Jonathan Bossenger from Automattic will challenge outdated criticisms of WordPress, highlighting the platform's evolution toward modern PHP standards, block-based development, and improved tooling.

Nils Adermann, Co-Founder of Packagist, will take attendees behind the scenes of the infrastructure that keeps the PHP ecosystem moving.

Fabien Potencier, Founder and Project Lead of Symfony, will explore how Symfony shapes the open-source world and the connection between technology and community.

Larry Garfield will explain the RFC process that shapes the future of the PHP language and how the community influences what comes next.

Jeffrey Way, Founder of Laracasts, will step beyond PHP to explore how AI is transforming the role of developers and what it means for your future as a developer.

Partners

The event partners include Laravel, Symfony, Laracasts, SymfonyCasts, Dutch Laravel Foundation, Laravel News, PHP Foundation, Automattic, Private Packagist, and Larabelles.
