I've got something new to share! Matt Stauffer and I are launching PHP News, a new site covering everything happening across PHP.
Why a Second Site
Running Laravel News means spending a lot of time following what's happening across PHP. There's so much worth sharing, from changes to the language itself to interesting packages, developer tools, and projects from across the community. We wanted to give those stories a home while keeping Laravel News focused on Laravel, the framework we love.
Laravel News isn't going anywhere. We'll keep bringing you the Laravel news, tutorials, and packages you're here for. PHP News gives us room to cover more of what's happening across the broader PHP community.
What You'll Find
- News: PHP core, packages, developer tools, applications, and community.
- Releases: new PHP versions and security fixes when they ship
- RFC Watch: every open RFC with a plain-English summary and its current status
- PHP Version Checker: supported versions and EOL dates in one place
- Events: a calendar of upcoming PHP conferences and meetups
The Weekly Newsletter
PHP News has its own free weekly email with the most important news, tutorials, and packages.

I also joined Matt on the Laravel Podcast to talk about this and a lot of other things:
Thank You to Our Launch Partners
A big thank you to Tideways and PhpStorm for supporting PHP News as launch partners. Their support helps us get this new publication off the ground, and we're grateful to have them with us from the start.
Laravel News stays your home for everything Laravel, and PHP News is there for the rest of PHP. We hope you'll follow both.
