JetBrains has announced JetBrains Air, a set of products for running and managing AI coding agents across individual developers, teams, and organizations. JetBrains CEO Kirill Skrygan introduced it on X:

The Air Products
Air is made up of three products, and Junie, JetBrains' own coding agent, is supported in all of them:
- Air in JetBrains IDEs: a free plugin, now in public preview, for running agents such as Claude Agent, Codex, Junie, Copilot, and OpenCode inside PhpStorm and other JetBrains IDEs. You can run several sessions at once, review diffs with the IDE's tools, and use your existing subscriptions or API keys, or JetBrains AI credits.
- Air Teams: shared projects where developers and agents run tasks in cloud environments, with automations for jobs like code review and release notes. It is in early access.
- Air Governance: model and agent permissions, spending limits, and usage analytics for organizations. It was previously called JetBrains Central.
Air works with agents from other vendors, and agents that support the Agent Client Protocol (ACP) connect to the IDE directly. Skrygan wrote in the announcement post:
We build our own agent, and we intend to make it excellent. But JetBrains Air does not require customers to use ours, and our strategy does not depend on which model provider leads the rankings this quarter.
Earlier JetBrains agent integrations include Claude Agent in the PhpStorm AI Assistant and the agents added in PhpStorm 2025.3.
