State of Laravel 2026 Survey Is Now Open image

Tobias Petry has opened the State of Laravel 2026 survey, the sixth year of his annual look at what Laravel developers actually use.

Laravel has been created more than 10 years ago. Today it is the most popular PHP framework used by thousands of developers every day. The emerged ecosystem around Laravel is huge and new trends are popping up all the time. This survey is an attempt to gain insight into the representation of the diverse technologies and behaviors of this outstanding community.

What It Covers

Questions are grouped into six sections:

  • Developer Profile, including your code editor, operating system, team size, and other languages you work in
  • Tech Stack, covering PHP and Laravel versions, databases, rendering approach, reactive frontends, and admin panel libraries
  • Development, covering local environments, debugging methods, quality tooling, and where you host your source code
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Production, covering deploy frequency, how you run your apps, and monitoring
  • Opinion, a set of agree/disagree statements like "The Laravel Framework is moving in the right direction"

The AI section is new for this year and I assume we are going to see some interesting results in that area once the results are published.
